NSSL Swim League Championships July 17-18

The village of St. Bernard will host the 2023 Northern Suburban Swim League championship meet on July 17 and 18 at the Aquatic Center. The league anticipates that over 800 athletes will compete in this two-day event, and the St. Bernard Stingrays will have about 70 swimmers competing. This event is an amazing opportunity to showcase our awesome village and will increase the number of patrons at our local establishments.

Event-Related Closures & Cancellations

The St. Bernard Aquatic Center and a portion of Washington Avenue will be closed to the public on both days. There will be no Art & Crafts on Monday, July 17. On both days, Washington Ave will not be accessible between Vine St. and Tower Ave. This event will significantly increase traffic in the area and will limit parking in municipal lots. The event coordinators will encourage athletes and spectators to park in designated areas, but you can expect that many may opt for street parking. Please be kind, courteous, and patient with our guests.

Parade

On Saturday, July 15, the St. Bernard Stingrays have organized a pre-championship social that will start with a parade around town. The parade will begin in the back lot of Roger Bacon High School at 4:30p. The parade route will be:

  1. Leonard Ave
  2. Bertus St
  3. Vine St
  4. Ross Ave
  5. Kemper Ave
  6. Church St
  7. Sullivan Ave
  8. Washington Ave

The vehicle parade will be escorted by the St. Bernard Police and Fire Departments. Expect to hear a lot of sirens, honking, and cheering. Show your support by lining the parade route and cheering for the St. Bernard Stingrays. Thank you in advance!
