2018 Landfill Maintenance Activities

  • March 21, 2018 – Water from the condensate tank was removed and disposed of.
  • March  23, 2018 - The condensate tank high level alarm sensor was relocated to allow the accumulation of additional liquid before the alarm is triggered.
  • March & April – The annual calibration of Combustible Gas Indicators was performed on properties where access was granted by owner.  May 11, 2018 Letter to OEPA Documenting Calibration
  • April 10, 2018 - MP-10 was abandoned.  Upon OEPA approval that the probe was no longer needed in the monitoring network, the PVC pipe and screen from which the probe was constructed were removed from the ground and the hole was sealed following the procedures described in the site’s Explosive Gas Monitoring Plan.   April 23, 2018 Certification Report
  • August - Vegetation was cleared from blower pad.
  • September 19, 2018 - Lids for three flush mount protective casings were repaired.  The protective casings are flush with the ground surface to allow equipment like lawnmowers to pass over them without damaging the probes and are now bolted shut to deter tampering with the probes and water accumulation in the protective casings.
  • September - Phone connections for the condensate tank high level alarm were repaired.
